It's been a busy few weeks here at Triads and I wanted to take a minute to share what's been going on, what's just landed, and what's coming up — straight from me rather than through the usual marketing stuff.
We've just welcomed Duke and Dexter to the lineup and honestly, I'm really excited about this one. If you haven't heard of them, they make some of the best loafers in the game — proper quality, made in England, and the kind of shoe that works whether you're dressed up or keeping it casual. The first drop is live now so go check it out.
Carhartt WIP SS26 has also just come in and it's a strong season from them. The Detroit Jacket in Dusty Brown is already flying out, and the Marlow Pants are exactly the kind of relaxed, hardwearing piece that Carhartt do better than anyone. If you're a Carhartt person, this season is worth a proper look.
We've also had a big Les Deux drop land — lots of summer-ready pieces, pool slides, knit polos, and some really nice trouser options. Les Deux have quietly become one of the best value brands we stock for the quality you get.
I'll be honest — a lot of the past few weeks has been less glamorous than picking new brands. We've been doing a lot of work on the back end of the website and our international shipping setup to make sure we're doing things properly.
We're working on getting duties and taxes sorted for international orders so that customers outside the UK aren't getting surprise charges when their parcels arrive. That's not good enough and I want to fix it. We're in conversations with DHL about getting a proper system in place — more on that soon.
We've also been sorting out our presence on Google Shopping to make sure our products are showing up properly for people searching online. There's been some technical stuff to work through but we're on it.

For those who don't know the full story — Triads was originally founded in 1988 by my dad and uncle in Middlesbrough. I relaunched it in 2024 and moved us to Yarm, and it's been a proper journey since then.
I'm really proud of what we're building. We're not trying to compete with the big retailers on volume — we're trying to be the best independent menswear store in the country for the customer who actually cares about what they wear. Every brand we stock, every piece we pick — it's chosen because I genuinely believe in it, not because an algorithm told me to stock it.
We're growing, we're improving, and we've got some exciting things coming over the next few months. I'll keep you posted.
